This sermon from Pastor C Myles Young if The Rock Church is not the message you would expect to hear at the beginning of a new year. He is even sure to mention that fact later in the sermon. With that being said this message is full of great information. Causing you to think about your life.
Before we go to far it would not be right to skip over the mini sermon he gives at the beginning of this video. It never ceases to amaze me that people are always looking for revelation from God, but they hardly ever look in the Bible. I can testify that reading your Bible everyday will quickly open your eyes to revelation. Reading the Bible allows you to see the world and God better then before. The concept of an entire church read the whole Bible is great. More Churches should adopt this habit.
Pastor Young’s starts this sermon off by almost casting vision in away. He wants to see his church go further this year than it has gone before. He explains that to do so will require people to stop doing the same thing. You will never grow if you just keep doing the same thing you whole life. If you want to get from here to there it will require you to be intentional. You have to have the intention to read your Bible. Intention to spend time it prayer. If you are not will to be internal you will never get out of here.
It is hard to believe Pastor Young was able to pack so many great points into this sermon. For instance the devils ability to give people amnesia. So that they only remember the good of their past and forget all the bad. The Bible proves this point clearly. Telling of how the Israelites quickly forgot about the bad of Egypt. They allowed themselves to forget the slavery and beatings. Choosing only to remember only having food and water. They couldn’t leave where they were because they couldn’t forget the past.
I do not want to do an injustice to this message by revealing anymore. Be sure to watch it and even take notes. “I Am Here: What Now” is absolutely packed with information that everyone needs to hear. The sermon is closed by Pastor Young sharing how to get from here to there. Don’t make the mistake of not hearing all of this valuable sermon.
