Who was this man from Galilee? Was He simply the son of a carpenter? Was He a prophet? Who was this man that spoke with such power and authority, that even nature bowed down and beckoned His call in an instant!
Ancient writings of Hebrew foretold His coming. Men longed for the day He would appear. Cities cried out for a redeemer. Man was hopeless and headed for a lake of fire. The best he could do for hundreds of years was bring an offering once a year to atone his sins, and push back the payment year after year.
Who was this man from Galilee? IT WAS GOD ROBED IN FLESH!!! Don’t speed by this statement and quickly agree, unless you fully believe Jesus Christ is not a part of the Godhead or part of a fourth-century triune godhead. When I say He was God in flesh, I mean the fullness of the Godhead dwelled in the man Jesus Christ. There is no such thing as a trinity, for that, is the result of man-made doctrine straight from the pits of hell. The greatest question during the 2nd-4th century was the identity of Jesus Christ. Was He second in the Godhead, or was He totally separate from the Father? It became such a heated debate, the early Roman Church held councils and fist fights would ensue over this very subject.
The result was the Nicene Creed which was a total birth of a man-made doctrine that erred from scripture. Thus, the popular opinion for the last 1,500 years has been the doctrine of the trinity. It is not so my good people. The Lord you worship commanded to be worshipped in SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH…
The disciples were strict monotheistic Jews who adhered to the sacred Shema: Deuteronomy 6:4 (KJV) Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD: That is why they were very careful to worship Him until they figured out His true identity. When you read Matthew 28, you will find the verse that has been the seeming backbone of the trinity, and the incorrect mode for baptism which is in the titles. Yet, if we take off the blinders, we can see what Matthew was really trying to tell us.
Earlier in chapter 28,
“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. [[[And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.]]] Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.” Mat 28:6-10 (KJV)
They worshipped Him…again, He is revealing Himself, and people are finally getting it.
Onto the latter portion of this chapter…some of His disciples still didn’t get it..much like today…***some worshipped some doubted***
“Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Mat 28:16-20 (KJV)
The Lord saw their unbelief, and proclaimed ALL POWER WAS GIVEN TO HIM…All the fullness of the godhead dwells in Him (LOOK AT THE WORDS OF PAUL)
“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Col 2:6-10 (KJV)
To fully walk in the Lord, we must see Him for who He is. Jesus Christ was not part of the godhead, co-equal, co-eternal…
Isaiah 45:5-6 (KJV) 5 I [am] the LORD, and [there is] none else, [there is] no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that [there is] none beside me. I [am] the LORD, and [there is] none else.
The Disciples knew these scriptures…THEY WANTED TO MAKE SURE HE WAS INDEED GOD ROBED IN FLESH…
The Son of God was and is the FLESH of God…END OF DEBATE…It is not some mystical revelation. He reveals Himself to the hungry and thirsty.
Paul told Timothy: “These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1Ti 3:14-16 (KJV)
GROUND OF TRUTH….GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH…
That’s why He looked at the defiled religious Pharisees and proclaimed: “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” John 8:58 (KJV) they tried to stone Him for saying that…
That’s why He looked at Philip and said: John 14:7-11 (KJV) 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
When Jesus said to baptize in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost, He was solidifying His identity as being GOD ALMIGHTY IN FLESH…
When Peter fulfilled this command in Matthew 28:19, he stood up on the day of Pentecost, and unlocked the door to SALVATION, AND SHOWED US WHO JESUS IS….
HE WAS MORE THAN A MAN I SAY…He was God who stepped off the throne of glory and took the form of a man, so He could come and redeem us from the grips of sin…
Peter said: Acts 2:38 (KJV) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
The titles won’t save you. You’ve got to be buried in the only saving name under Heaven (Acts 4:12) JESUS CHRIST…
HE WAS MORE THAN A MAN…DO YOU KNOW HIM? He is the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS…
Revelation 22:13 (KJV)
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. (Jesus)
